Managing treatment in chronic illness can be challenging, especially when patient is busy with work or other obligations. The technology is cleared by FDA for medical usage.
First hospital to prescribe this solution to patients is Barton Health in Lake Tahoe, California. First patients will be chosen among those with uncontrolled and co-morbid hypertension. This healthcare provider is known for implementing new, digital solutions to treatment. Pharmaceutical specialists from Barton Health will encapsulate chosen medications with sensors in one capsule in order to prescribe them to patients. Proteus Digital Health steps further and started cooperation with pharmaceutical company to make first tablet with sensor originally in it. The first drug is to be antidepressant.
